Lightweight, clean, and effective â worth the repurchase
Scent: White Tea, Size: 1.7 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
This is my go-to daily sunscreen. Itâs lightweight, non-greasy, and absorbs quickly without leaving a white cast. I love that itâs made with clean ingredients and doesnât irritate my sensitive skin. The white tea scent is subtle and fresh. Iâve repurchased this several times now â itâs one of the few sunscreens I actually enjoy using.

Great replacement for my discontinued Epionce sunblock
Scent: White Tea, Size: 1.7 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
I really hate it when companies discontinue great products, and even though it cost a fortune, I loved the Epionce mineral sun block for faces. When I realized it was gone, I looked at the Coola line because I like their other products. Found this face sunblock for $32 (this could be 1/3 of the Epionce, certainly 1/2) and have used it for the past few weeks playing golf. So far, so good! I'm not noticing any color, certainly no burn. No irritation, and the scent is quite mild, only noticeable when it's first applied (IMO, and I'm pretty sensitive to scents). I really like that Coola has the Hawaii reef-safe designation, which I think is very important for all sunscreens, even when we're not going swimming in the ocean. As a friend pointed out to me once, even if you don't swim in the ocean, you go home and take a shower and all those chemicals wash down the drain and make their way eventually through the system, so might as well just not use them in the first place! Yes, it's more expensive using products like this, but IMO it's worth it. I also wear sun sleeves these days so I don't have to use as much sunscreen when I'm out on the golf course. Editing this to say that this product has avobenzone, which is actually not so great and may be banned in Hawaii by next year. Hmm. Guess I'll keep searching!

It works

I invested in this for its travel size and my needs for a product that would protect my skin and not make it feel super oily. This delivers!!! I used it for a week in Florida with UV up to 11 on some days and didn't face a single issue, even after a Disney day. I was almost in disbelief at how lightweight this product is for it to work properly, but the protection strength is fabulous. I don't burn in the sun, but if I do, its typically along my face where the bridge of my nose is or my upper cheeks. This product basically said, "not today, sun." Bonus, it didnt burn or sting my eyes all day in Disney parks heat, and I didn't need to reapply even though I brought it just in case. Maybe it was the product or the Disney magic, but my skin also didn't look oily or shiny at all in my pictures with the product offering a nice matte finish.

seriously matte-ifying

Donât judge but back in the day I used to use Avonâs âface perfectorâ because it REALLY cut down on the shininess of face oil and it also had SPF. It made your face look matte without any other makeup. And I am pleased that this gel is similar. No face grease. Itâs not even really a gelâif instantly feels powdery (somehow?) in your hand, thus itâs nongreasy. It leaves your face shine free and protected.
