One of the most visually stunning furniture timbers available, Blackwood has also become an important tonewood. Most of the Blackwood comes from the Otway Ranges in Victoria, Australia. It often displays "fiddleback" character and "AAA" grade Blackwood can be intensely figured.
It has a warm, full tone with a particularly pleasing mid frequency response and has become one of the most sought after timbers.
The AP5 Pro now features Separate Microphone and Piezo input controls allow for blending of both microphone and piezo levels prior to sending the actively combined signals through to the tone circuits and master volume. Highly selective cardioid microphone system allows for much greater microphone level before feedback in live environments.
This newly upgraded microphone is direct mounted to the preamp casing via an adjustable arm, which permits easy final tweaking of microphone position to suit the individual artists style.
Since 1978, the 808 series has stood the test of time and is now available in several different tone wood configurations. These 808 guitars are the gigging guitarists best friend, and are unriavaled plugged in.
