The Wide Brim Sun Hat You Can Actually See Out Of

Most wide brim sun hats force you to choose: protect your skin OR see where you're going. This one does both.

The Hikesity Classic Wide Brim Sun Visor is engineered with a uniquely angled brim that shields your face, neck, and ears from 99.9% of UV rays (UPF 50+ rated) — while keeping your full line of sight completely clear. You can drive, walk, hike, and bike without tipping your head or lifting the brim.

The UPF50+ Wide Brim Sun Visor Women Actually Reach For

If you've searched for a UPF50+ wide brim sun visor for women, you've probably found two kinds: floppy straw brims that look great but block your view, or thin sport visors that barely protect anything. The Hikesity Classic is the middle ground most women want — a genuinely wide 14 cm brim that shades your face, ears, and neck at a verified UPF 50+ (blocks 99.9% of UVA and UVB), on a lightweight 123 g nylon-spandex band that stays put from the school run to the beach.

  • Wide brim, clear vision — the angled brim shades without the "tunnel vision" of a floppy hat, so it's safe to wear while driving, walking, or pushing a stroller.
  • Ponytail-friendly open top — the crownless visor design won't flatten your hair or trap heat on hot days.
  • Built-in UV sensor — a color-change indicator shows when UV is high, so you know when to seek shade.
  • Two easy-to-match colors — Black and Pink, with a stretch band that fits most head sizes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can I drive with this sun hat on?
A: Yes — this is one of the very few wide brim sun hats specifically designed for driving. The brim angle keeps UV rays off your face without obstructing your peripheral vision or blind spot checks. Many of our customers wear it for their daily commute.

Q: How wide is the brim?
A: The brim provides full face, ear, and neck coverage while maintaining clear forward and side vision. It's wider than a baseball cap but angled differently than a floppy sun hat, so you get maximum protection without the "tunnel vision" effect.

Q: What does the UV monitor do?
A: The built-in UV sensor is a small indicator attached to the hat that reacts to current UV intensity. When UV levels are low, it stays neutral. When UV levels are high or dangerous, it changes color to alert you — so you know when to seek shade or apply additional sunscreen.

Q: Will it blow off in the wind?
A: The hat fits snugly thanks to the stretchy spandex blend. For very windy conditions (beach, boating), we recommend using bobby pins or a hat clip for extra security.

Q: Is UPF 50+ really enough for sun protection?
A: UPF 50+ is the highest rating available. It means the fabric blocks 99.9% (or 49 out of 50 units) of UV radiation. The Skin Cancer Foundation recommends UPF 30 as good protection and UPF 50+ as excellent. This hat exceeds that standard.

Q: Is this a good wide brim sun visor for women?
A: Yes — it's designed for everyday wear. The 14 cm wide brim gives full face, ear, and neck coverage at UPF 50+ (99.9% UV blocked), while the open-top visor keeps your ponytail free and your vision clear. The stretch nylon-spandex band fits most head sizes and comes in black and pink.

Not the same rubber.
I just received these today. I already have two of the same size direct from the local pet store. The one thing I liked about them that made me want to buy more - my 13lb dog could chew on them all night and never leave a mark. The red one I received was as expected. The blue one I received was not made out of the same rubber. It was softer. We played catch a few times and it didn’t bounce the same. I looked away for 5 minutes and she had it already starting to shred. Not sure what happened but 1 of the 2 balls I was sent was not up to par, possibly defective.

Great
Size: Medium, Number of Items: 1
I need something that was soft for my three year old and this ball is super great, it not only is the right size but it also fits in his mouth just right. Although he is a super aggressive chewer, the ball toy hasn't been totally destroyed yet and it is easy on his gums. The ball is so durable that got two of these toys just for fun.

The best!
UPDATE: 08/05/2025 - This is still one of my dog's 2 fav training/play toys. A couple of notes: 1. This is not a chew toy. If your pup is chewing up the rope, that's on you. That being said, you can get 100' of the poly cord rope at Home Depot for like $4.98. You can make nearly 100 ropes out of 100'. How hard is it to replace the rope????? 2. My pup is a now 15 month old Malinois. His original balls, purchase in September 2024 are still in everyday, multiple times per day, play. I did get careless and leave one where he got it and chew the rope. Easily replaced. Nothing to fret over. Yes, that was on me! 3.The foam ball is virtually indestructible! Replace the rope! 4. I noticed the price for the yellow large went from $12 each to $24. THIS will cause me to go elsewhere if they doubled in price. I LOVE these balls but not that much. I noticed they have a new yellow ball that has a strap vs. a rope. I might try that if I need one, but I have 6 of these balls, 2 never used yet, 2 that are virtually new looking, and 2 that have been in play since september 2024. I don't think I'll be buying more any time soon, but if I do need more, I hope they haven't gone up to $24 each. One of my top, go-to training tools. Quality is great other than the shrink wrap around the string joint. It's junk but not essential. Great tug and fetch toy. Essential to teaching a good "out" command (2 are recommended for this).

Best dog ball
This is our go to dog toy for our German shepherd. its great for training in sports as well as outings at the beach, considering it floats! Never had him destroy one, so its extremely durable. I like that its a bright color so its easier to locate when i accidently let go of the rope too late and end up whipping it 20 ft into the woods. Easy to clean, all around just a great toy. Also love the large size as having a dog accidently lodge a ball into its throat is a real fear of mine, I do not have to worry about that with this toy. I should also mention the rope is a must, as touching a slobbery ball isn't the greatest feeling in the world and it puts your hands out of harms way. I will forever order these.
