Over Weingut Knipser

Wijnmakerij Knipser is sinds 1876 een familiebedrijf in Laumersheim en ligt in het noorden van de Vorderpfalz tussen Grünstadt en Bad Dürkheim. De wijngaarden bevinden zich in Laumersheim, Großkarlbach en Dirmstein met een totaal wijngaardareaal van 75 hectare. Als één van de eerste wijnbouwers in de regio, begon Heinz Knipser in 1948 met het bottelen van wijn. De huidige eigenaren, Volker en Werner Knipser, begonnen halverwege de jaren tachtig met de vinificatie in barriques, verhoogden het aandeel rode wijn en besteedden bij het planten van nieuwe wijnstokken aandacht aan klassieke regionale en internationale variëteiten.
