In the foreground a group of men and two boys mill about in front of a striped tent erected on sand. On the far right camp equipment and supplies lie in the sand. In the distance beyond the camp sand dunes are dotted with shrubs. This image was taken during April 6-30, 1948, when Wilfred Thesiger stayed at Al Muwaiji fort in Al Ain as a guest of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
