Selected strains of Shiitake cells are grown in fermenters, using a patented culture technique. This closed, controlled production process ensures perfect quality, purity and absence of environmental contaminants. During the culture process, enzymes naturally occurring in the mushroom cells produce specific active compounds called acetylated alpha-glucans. Alpha-glucans are small molecules which are easily assimilated by the organism, and display unique properties. There are more than 100 published scientific studies performed from all over the world with AHCC®.
Two capsules of AHCC® Professional (recommended daily dose) provide 1.2 g of professional grade AHCC® (equivalent to 864 mg of mushroom extract).
