These changes allow the player to have even greater responsiveness out of the boot so they feel better connected and can help their team even more with unrivaled power & agility.

BOOT CONSTRUCTION

The Shadow boot features a 3D lasted 12k Carbon CURV Composite boot construction with a unique layup of stiffness levels to create a powerful yet agile boot. What Bauer has done is the upper portion of the boot has been made with a more flexible material to allow better range of motion and power through each stride, they have increased the stiffness at the lower section of the boot for increased energy creation and explosiveness. Connecting the boot together is the Carbon Connect outsole which uses 40% stiffer material compared to the previous Mach to really help the player get even better acceleration and push off power. 

TOE CAP & FACING

Working with the boot and its stiffness construction Bauer has come up with the new ERGO Connect Toe Cap that has a redesigned shape to get a better integration of the toe cap and boot to create more responsiveness while also improving the overall comfort for the skater and aiding with on-ice agility. Connecting to the new toe cap is the AMP Flex Facing eyelet system that provides unparalleled forward flex so you can get as much power out of every stride, with this and the enhancements that have been made in the overall boot it will help retain the recoil properties for a longer period of time.

TONGUE & LINER

Both the Tongue & Liner on the skate are designed to provide not only added foot lock in the skate but also comfort and protection. The Powercoil tongue is made to provide both comfort and performance with a traditional white felt design, they have injected inserts to help enhance power along with absorb the energy from each stride to help create a powerful recoil for more power & agility. Inside the boot we have the LOCK-FIT PRO Liner with Aerorfoam ankle padding underneath to really get a good fit to the foot through the heat molding process. The upper layer of the liner is made from a soft plush material that helps provide a snug fit that conforms to your foot and the lower section has a grip material to help keep the foot locked in place to prevent any unnecessary movement in your stride.

HOLDER & RUNNER

The Powerfly holder is designed to adapt and respond to the players movement on the ice, with it's stiffer front post for improved energy transfer and a more flexible back post for increased side to side movement it is a real game changer for all skaters. Combining this holder with the new FLY Ti runner with it's Titanium coating on the blade for increased edge retention and blade life and adding a Pro Sharp profile to them will add to your on ice experience with the skates.
