Denang holds special significance as the monastery where Shar Khentrul Jamphel Lodrö Rinpoche first entered the monastic life and received his ordination, making these vases especially meaningful for Dzokden practitioners and devotees of Rinpoche.
The Kathok lineage is one of the six principal “mother” monasteries of the Nyingma tradition of Tibetan Buddhism and is renowned for its ancient heritage, unbroken transmission lines, and extraordinary masters. Founded in the 12th century by Kathok Rigdzin Tsewang Norbu on the sacred mountain of Kathok in Kham (Eastern Tibet), Kathok Monastery became a flourishing center of learning, retreat, and Dzogchen practice. Over the centuries it produced many accomplished yogis, scholars, and tertöns, including great figures such as Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo, Dudjom Lingpa, and Patrul Rinpoche, who maintained close ties to the lineage.
Crafted according to traditional specifications, each vase embodies the profound symbolism of wealth, harmony, protection, and spiritual flourishing. For days, Khentrul Rinpoche's Brother (also an excellent Lama) and the lamas of Denang Monastery gathered in continuous practice—reciting sacred mantras, offering rituals, and invoking the blessings of the enlightened deities—to consecrate each vase with the energy of abundance.
Treasure Vases are traditionally kept in the home, placed on an altar, or buried in the environment to restore balance, avert obstacles, and magnetize auspicious conditions.
