Irish vernacular 'Antrim' chair.An original and rare vernacular Irish chair from the north of Ireland, usually associated with Antrim. I actually bought this in Antrim, so it hasn't travelled far! Quite an abstract design, a real statement piece. It looks thrown together, but actually, a lot of thought and work has gone into the design to make it strong and practical a good example of form following function. Sturdy, no wobbles or looseness, and with old original paint in places.
