Appearance
A small, globular cactus with numerous thin, wavy ribs, giving it a brain-like appearance.
Dark green body with dense, radial spines that range from white to reddish-brown.
Typically grows up to 4-6 inches (10-15 cm) tall and 5 inches (12 cm) wide.
Care & Growing Conditions
Light: Prefers bright, indirect light to full sun; too much direct sun may cause stress.
Soil: Well-draining sandy or cactus mix soil.
Watering: Water moderately during the growing season, allowing the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Reduce watering in winter.
Temperature: Thrives in USDA zones 9-11; protect from temperatures below 30°F (-1°C).
Humidity: Prefers low humidity and dry conditions.
Flower
Produces small, funnel-shaped pink to purple flowers at the top of the cactus in spring and summer.
